Premarital Preparation

Tom and Deane’s ministry to couples was invaluable in carrying my wife and I through pre-marital counseling, and I believe is the reason we were able to go forward in our marriage. After calling off the wedding once and nearly ending our relationship, Tom and Deane gave our courtship a true foundation in Christ that will uphold our marriage the rest of our days. As a couple, they can objectively and spiritually provide appropriate direction and wisdom that caters to the man and woman separately and together.

Tom and Deane helped us focus on God’s plan for our lives, both individually and as a couple. It is now 2 ½ years later, and we are happily married. We feel like God has healed, restored and blessed us. Much of the credit should go to Tom and Deane for helping us understand God’s will for our lives together.

My husband and I have been blessed with a great marriage from day 1! But once in awhile, we hit a rough patch, and needed a fresh perspective filled with honesty, compassion, and wisdom. That’s what we found in Deane and Tom. They helped us to get laser focused, see things from each other’s point of view, and get back on the same page. They are truly a gift!

I would like to say that knowing Tom and Deane these last few years has been a great joy to my husband and I. We have been blessed by their wisdom and knowledge to hear the Lord on occasions concerning us. They have done premarital counseling for our girls before marriage and the girls said it was a “game changer.” I appreciate Tom and Deane’s obedience to seek the Lord on each person’s behalf and hear the heart of God for them.

It was only by the grace of God that Tom and Deane came into our lives to lead us through Prepare and Enrich for pre-marital counseling. Now having just celebrated one year of marriage, we continue to be encouraged by their abounding love and support. We both know and agree that we would not be at this point in our lives had it not been for what Tom and Deane were able to show us through God’s amazing love. We are forever grateful for the way they encourage and love us and how we have been able to grow in our relationship with the Lord and one another each and every day.

Tom and Deane are so gifted and work well together as a team to provide training in many areas. In the area of marriage mentoring, which is where we worked alongside them, we gained invaluable knowledge through their teaching and very honest life experiences. Their desire to always lift up Jesus and be “real” is refreshing! Tom and Deane have the skill set for evaluating relationships and laying the foundation for solid marriages.

Deane’s encouragement and confidence in God’s authority above all principalities and powers encouraged me to step out and plow ahead, to seek Him and trust Him for a future and a hope!

Tom and Deane have been instrumental in our relationship. They worked with us through the Prepare and Enrich course, and they always brought value every time we got to meet with them. Their personal experiences have shaped them into amazing people and the Lord has anointed them to truly be warriors for Him. We consider ourselves blessed to have had the opportunity to share an important season of our lives with them and continue to develop a life-long relationship.
